Former Miss Korea Ham So-won has apologized for her behavior on TV Chosun's reality program "Flavor of Wife" through an Instagram post following a clash with her mother-in-law.

The episode that aired on July 16 showed conflict between Ham and her mother-in-law over ways of babysitting Ham's daughter who was born last December 18.

After concerns arose about her husband's mental health over being a father in his 20s, Ham's mother-in-law made a surprise visit to Korea to allow the couple time to strengthen their relationship.

While babysitting, conflicts started after her mother-in-law put the baby in button-slit pants, or kaidangku, which is part of Chinese culture for potty training. Ham refused and changed the pants to diapers.

The mother-in-law then tried to feed the baby chicken she had chewed. Ham stopped her, saying it is unsanitary to feed a child with someone else's saliva in it, especially when the baby still has a weak immune system.

Netizens' reactions varied. Some agreed with Ham on the troubles between mothers and grandparents who love their grandchildren but have not adjusted to modern babysitting culture.

On the other hand, some were angry at the way Ham raised her concerns, which were in a harsh tone.

Ham posted: "I admit my faults and I will try to change them bit by bit. A person has to learn until the day of death. I will live by that motto."

She also shared on the show how she has been getting direct messages on social media asking her to let go of her husband and saying how her marriage is at stake.

Ham was Miss Korea in 1997 and married 18-years younger Chinese businessman Jin Hua, who was an idol trainee.
