More people in their 20s are speaking out about the importance of sex in a relationship.

Unlike their parents' generation, which regarded talking about sex openly as a taboo, young Korean adults have been more open towards sex and love while being true to their feelings.

This has led to a new abbreviated Korean word that means "lose in the morning, win at night," which refers to a person who is sexually active.

A report published by UnivTomorrow Research Laboratory for the Twenties and CJ E&M Research Center on Monday demonstrated the new trend. The two centers surveyed 816 people in their 20s from April 27 to May 3 to examine how they view relationships and love.

According to the research, 84 percent of respondents said they can have physical affection, such as hugging and kissing, within a month of starting a relationship. The report said most people in their 20s do not care about how fast they reveal physical intimacy to their partners.

"The style of physical affection, including sex, became the important part for young couples," UnivTomorrow Research Laboratory for the Twenties said in the report. "Along with the tendency, motels have been one of the common dating places among people in their 20s. For them, it became essential to install mobile apps that allow users to book motels."
