CBRE Korea, the local unit of the U.S. real estate consulting and management firm, has appointed Don Lim as CEO, the firm said Monday.

Lim will be in charge of the firm's various businesses across the country, including capital markets, advisory and transaction services, property management, valuations and project management.

"As we continue to capitalize on the opportunities in the Korea market and better serve our clients, Don emerged as the leader best suited to take our Advisory Business to the next level. His appointment also reinforces the firm's commitment to develop and promote exceptional talent from within CBRE," said CBRE North Asia Advisory Services Head Ben Duncan.

Graduating from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in hospitality management and receiving a master's degree in management of foreign direct investment from the Korea Development Institute, Lim worked for ITT Sheraton in the U.S., The Shilla group and Korea Asset Advisors before joining CBRE in 2005.

"Lim has built an impressive track record in CBRE capital markets, growing a collaborative culture and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients, leading numerous landmark transactions," a CBRE Korea official said.
