The Lunar New Year holiday is in the books and now local hotels are rushing out new packages featuring Valentine's Day to court guests in the low season.

Putting aside the tired box of assorted chocolates, hotels are unveiling promotions that are luxurious yet relatively affordable. Some of the hot deals are presented exclusively during February, but others are available year-round.

Each property is offering a variety of benefits for those who want to cherish unforgettable moments on Feb. 14, promoting their facilities as the best romantic getaway for one of the most, if not the most, significant days for sweethearts.

Starting Thursday, the Grand Hyatt Seoul Hotel is offering its "passion-filled" Romance Package allowing couples to celebrate this day of love in a grand room, with a complimentary bottle of wine and cookies. The promotion also features breakfast buffet for two.

To add a bit more spice to the "special" day, guests can order a Valentine's flower bouquet or flower box to their room from its flower shop.

The package will be available until Dec. 20.

Lotte Hotels and Resorts, the nation's largest hotel operator, is also keen on offering romantic Valentine's Day experiences.

Its premium luxury hotel Signiel Seoul lives up to its reputation, presenting an extravagant package, from Saturday, featuring a one-night stay in a premium suite room, an in-room breakfast for two, a dinner for two at one-Michelin-star restaurant Stay and two movie tickets to Charlotte Theater at Lotte World Tower.

Starting Friday, Lotte Hotel Seoul also comes up with two Valentine's Day packages ― one allowing two guests to stay in a deluxe room at its main tower with a bottle of sparkling wine and use its club lounge and the other featuring a one-night stay in a grand deluxe room at the newly designed Executive Tower and lunch at its French restaurant Pierre Gagnaire a Seoul.

Shinsegae Chosun Hotel's two flagship properties are also offering promotional packages for a romantic Valentine's Day.

The L'Escape Hotel's Romantic Valentine's Day package includes an overnight stay at Premier Suite designed by sought-after French interior designer Jacques Garcia along with a bottle of red wine. Plus, the hotel gives a KILIAN's best-selling Perfume, randomly chosen between "Good Girl Gone Bad" and "Moonlight in Heaven."

At the Westin Chosun Seoul, the Only One Moment is available, under which guests are given two pieces of paper, respectively, to help them express their love for each other. The letters will be sent three months later.

The JW Marriott Seoul also celebrates the Feast of Saint Valentine until March 31.

Its guests can enjoy its patisserie's best-selling cake and a premium champagne as room service offerings. It also presents a French perfumer-made fragrance for free.

The Grand Hilton Seoul has prepared special gifts for Valentine's Day.

For those who choose a deluxe room, they will be presented with a set of underwear and executive room guests will receive a sleepwear and underwear set.
