Professional golfer Lee Jeong-eun, also known as "Lee Jeong-eun 6," has been named the brand ambassador of Shinhan Bank and its sister brokerage Shinhan Investment Corp.'s private wealth management (PWM), the two companies said.

This means Lee will be promoting and wearing the Shinhan PWM logo on her shirt and hat when she competes for the KLPGA and LPGA titles this year, they said.

She will also be making appearances at Shinhan Bank and Shinhan Investment's annual marketing and PR campaigns for their customers.

Lee has the number "6" attached to her name simply because there are a lot of Korean golfers named Lee Jeong-eun, even with the exact same spelling in English.

She may be the sixth Lee Jeong-eun, but she was a six-time KLPGA winner in 2017.

Last year, she won two of the KLPGA titles, and won the inaugural 2018 LPGA Q-Series.

And she made her LPGA debut at the ISPS Women's Australia Open in February. She ranked 10th in Australia and 11th at the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore in early March.

She currently ranks third on the KLPGA prize money list.

Lee thanked Shinhan for sponsoring her tour, saying she will be able to focus more on practicing for major tours this year.

Shinhan Bank said it will provide wealth management services to the player as part of the deal.

Shinhan PWM was launched in 2011 as a joint operation between the bank and the brokerage for rich customers, including corporate executives.

Shinhan also provides consulting on real estate investment management.
