The nation-rocking scandal has not hindered Blackpink's imminent "comeback."

YG Entertainment's four-piece K-pop girl band is set to return with new music by the end of March despite the sex and drug scandal involving a former YG star Seungri.

He allegedly attempted to buy sexual services for foreign investors, and a nightclub affiliated with him has been under suspicion for being involved with drugs.

"Although the exact date of the comeback cannot be disclosed yet, the team will film a music video for the fresh number this week," a spokesperson for the agency said Monday. The title of the lead track and the concept are still unknown.

Yang Hyun-suk, the founder of the agency, previously hinted at the comeback, saying an EP with several new tracks will be released in March.

Meanwhile, the team's rapper Jennie recently fell prey to an online rumor claiming she had been in a sex video filmed and distributed by disgraced singer Jung Joon-young. YG said on Wednesday it would take legal action against the person who first started the rumor, and those who spread it.

The team debuted in 2016 with "Square One." It shot to fame with "Whistle" and "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du."
