Singer John Park is returning to fans with the new single "You're like March" on Wednesday.

Expectations are high, as the new single breaks a nearly two-year hiatus after his previous track "Understand" was released in July 2018.

The long-awaited song "You're like March" is co-produced by Park and GDLO of MonoTree, a team of producers known for their work with big-name K-pop artists including EXO, SHINEE, Red Velvet, and Tae-yeon.

Park is known for his mellow voice accompanied by acoustic guitar music, but this time fans will be able to witness a transition in his style that blends his soft vocals with punchy nu-disco beats.

Earlier, Park released a photo teaser for the single ― retro-style black-and-white mug shots of himself making playful and comical facial expressions.

The new single and accompanying music video will be landing on major online streaming sites at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Park debuted with the album "Knock" on Feb. 22, 2012. Before his singing career, he was a semifinalist on the ninth season of the American TV audition program "American Idol." He later gained recognition in Korea after finishing second in the second season of Mnet's audition program "Superstar K" in 2010.
