K-pop girl group MAMAMOO's Solar is making her solo debut with the release of the new album "SPIT IT OUT" Thursday.
"Taking this first solo album as the start, I want to share my musical energy with people," Solar said through her agency RWB.
"I'm having mixed feelings right now. I've put a lot of work into this … so I'm curious and anxious to see how people will react, but scared at the same time."
The title song ― the same name as the album ― is co-produced by producer Kim Do-hun and rapper Sleepy. The album will hit online streaming sites at 6 p.m.
Solar debuted as a leader of the four-member MAMAMOO in 2014 with the single "Don't Be Happy." The group rose to stardom the following year and has released several hit songs, including "Um Oh Ah Yeh," "Decalcomanie" and "Yes I am."
