Singer Lee Chan-won has canceled all of his scheduled activities after being injured in an accident, of an undisclosed nature.
On Wednesday, Lee's agency Chorokbaem E&M released a statement that read, "Lee Chan-won was hospitalized on the morning of Aug. 8 after he was involved in a minor accident. His injuries are not serious, but we believe it's necessary to put all of his commitments on hold for now while he focuses on his recovery."
With Lee sidelined for the time being, the agency added, "We apologize to everyone who was looking forward to seeing Lee Chan-won on stage in the near future, which will not be possible due to the current circumstances. We kindly ask for your understanding and hope you will continue to support him when he returns."
The agency said Lee is looking forward to resuming his activities as soon as he recovers.
The statement concluded with the promise, "We will do our best to put Lee's well-being first and to also ensure that he can meet his fans in a healthier state than ever before. Once again, we ask for your understanding and support."
Prior to his injury, Lee Chan-won was a regular guest on KBS2's "Immortal Songs," "Bad Kid on the Rooftop" and JTBC's "Talk Correspondent 25."
