JANGSEONG — Nestled near Mount Naejang, a renowned maple spot in North Jeolla Province, the ancient Baekyang Temple in Jangseong County welcomes its visitors with its rich history and tranquil ambiance.
장성 — 전라남도 단풍 명소인 내장산 근처에 폭 안긴 오래된 장성군 백양사는 풍부한 역사와 평온한 분위기로 방문객들을 맞이한다.

Established in 632 during the 234-678 Baekje period, the name "Baekyang" translates to "white sheep" in Chinese characters.
백제 시대(234-678) 중 632년에 세워진 이 사찰의 이름인 "백양"은 한자로 치면 "흰 양"으로 번역된다.

Legend has it that during the reign of King Seonjo of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), the temple earned its name from a fable wherein a white sheep transformed into a boy from heaven after listening to a monk's sermon at the temple.
전설에 따르면 조선시대(1392-1910) 선조 통치기간 중 흰 양이 절에서 승려의 설법을 들은 후 남자아이로 변했다는 우화에서 백양사라는 이름을 얻었다.

During a two-day templestay press tour organized by the Cultural Corps of Korean Buddhism from Nov. 10 to 11, participants immersed themselves in the unique ambiance of Baekyang Temple.
불교문화사업단이 10일부터 11일까지 1박2일간 조직한 프로모션 투어 템플스테이에서 참가자들은 백양사의 독특한 분위기에 완전히 몰두했다.

The serene surroundings, akin to the softness of a white sheep nestled beneath vibrant autumn foliage, underscored the temple's distinctive charms.
생기 넘치는 가을 나뭇잎 아래 자리잡은 흰 양의 부드러움을 연상시키는 고요한 주변 환경은 사찰 특유의 매력을 분명히 보여줬다.

Baekyang Temple's templestay programs unfold through three distinct experiences: the resting type, the experience type and Ven. Jeongkwan's temple food program.
백양사 템플스테이 프로그램은 휴식형, 체험험, 정관스님의 사찰음식 수행이라는 전혀 다른 세 가지 유형으로 펼쳐진다.

The resting type offers participants the freedom to relax and unwind within the compound of the temple, providing a respite from daily life. For the experience type, participants engage in curated activities that include temple guidance, meditation and enlightening tea and talk sessions with the resident monks.
휴식형은 참가자에게 휴식을 취하고 사찰 부지 안에서 긴장을 풀 수 있는 자유를 제공해 일상에서 벗어나 한숨 돌릴 수 있는 시간을 준다. 체험형에서 참가자들은 사찰안내, 명상, 상주 스님과의 유익한 차담 등 엄선된 활동에 참여한다.
