Lee Sun-kyun's death has raised questions over how police investigations into his alleged drug use were publicized.
이선균이 사망하면서 그의 마약 투약 관련 경찰 조사가 공개적이었던 점이 문제가 되고 있다.

The renowned actor, celebrated for his role in the Oscar-winning film "Parasite," was found dead, Wednesday, in a car in a public parking lot in Seoul's Seongbuk District. Police at the scene reported signs of a suicide attempt.

Lee had been under police investigation on charges of using a number of drugs that are illegal in Korea.
이선균은 한국에서 불법인 마약 투약 혐의로 경찰 수사를 받고 있었다.

He had gone through three rounds of police questioning from October, stemming from a tip-off regarding the illicit circulation of drugs in "high-end bars" in Gangnam District in Seoul.
그는 서울 강남 "고급 술집"에서 나온 불법 마약 유통과 관련한 귀띔의 여파로 10월부터 세 차례 공개 소환돼 경찰 조사를 받았다.

After previously denying the charges, Lee admitted to using drugs, on the third round of questioning.
혐의를 부인하던 이 씨는 세 번째 소환 조사에서 마약 투약을 인정했다.

He claimed that he had been deceived and asserted that he was unaware of the nature of the substances he took, denying any intention to break the law.
이 씨는 속아서 흡입한 물질의 특성을 몰랐다고 주장하며 법 위반 의도를 부인했다.
