Actor Kim Ji-hoon is set to enter Hollywood with a role in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series "Butterfly," his agency Big Picture Entertainment said Friday.

Based on a graphic novel of the same name, "Butterfly" tells the gripping tale of David Jung, a former CIA agent played by Korean American actor Daniel Dae Kim.

The series explores the intense chase and conflict involving Jung, whose life unravels following a pivotal decision, and Rebecca (played by Reina Hardesty), a current agent ordered to eliminate him.

Dae Kim's dual roles as both lead actor and producer have already generated significant buzz around the project.

Since his debut in 2002, Kim has appeared in various popular TV dramas, such as "Now, We Are Breaking Up" and "Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area," as well as in the film "Ballerina."

His venture into Hollywood with "Butterfly" is anticipated to broaden his presence and influence as an actor, keeping audiences keen to see the impact Kim will have in this new role.
