Dancer Emma, propelled to fame by Mnet's "Street Woman Fighter," will join the lineup of the upcoming girl group BADVILLAIN, the group's agency said, Sunday.

In a performance video titled, "HURRICANE," released by BPM Entertainment across its official social media platforms, all seven members of BADVILLAIN made their initial public appearance.

Of particular note, the latest teaser video officially confirmed dancer Emma's inclusion in the rookie girl group.

Emma gained recognition through her participation with the project crew WANT during the first season of the dance survival reality show in 2021. However, she recently deactivated her Instagram account, fueling speculation about the dancer's future career.

Speculation intensified following BADVILLAIN's initial teaser release on April 17, which featured the 24-year-old artist with her face covered. With Sunday's video, her transition to a singing career was officially confirmed.

According to an official press release, Monday, BPM stated that BADVILLAIN aims to "revolutionize the K-pop scene" as a "well-rounded idol group specializing in performance."

The group is slated to debut during the first half of this year, joining the roster of BPM artists such as girl group VIVIZ and singers Lee Mu-jin and Ha Sung-woon.
