Public Procurement Service (PPS) Administrator Lim Ki-keun delivers a speech at the East Asia and Pacific Regional Public Procurement Forum in Seoul, Tuesday. Jointly held by the PPS and the World Bank, the three-day forum kicked off on Tuesday with the participation of over 110 procurement experts from 18 countries in the region and from multilateral development banks such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Islamic Development Bank. Korea is to share at the forum its experiences in sustainable public procurement, such as fostering the ecosystem for the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, efforts for carbon neutrality including green certification and policies aimed at assisting the socially vulnerable, as well as using cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data in public procurement.
