K-pop boy band BTOB member and actor Yook Sung-jae has returned to the music scene with his solo album after a four-year break.

Released on Thursday, the album titled "EXHIBITION: Look Closely" is Yook's first solo project since his 2020 special album "YOOK O'clock."

Leading the album is the track "BE SOMEBODY," a fusion of trap beats, addictive guitar riffs, and Yook's powerful vocals. Yook is said to have been directly involved in the songwriting process, delivering a message of hope amid darkness through the lyrics.

The album includes two additional tracks: "Without You," which explores the theme of parting ways after discovering the lies of a loved one, and "The Ghost," a poignant ballad expressing the unfulfilled desire to break free from the pain of love.

In an official statement, Yook's agency, IWill Entertainment, expressed anticipation, stating, "Through this new solo album, Yook Sung-jae will showcase a range of charms previously unseen, along with unwavering affection for his fans."

Since his 2012 debut as a member of BTOB, Yook received widespread acclaim for his soulful vocals, highlighted in the group's chart-topping hits "Missing You" (2017), "Only One for Me" (2018) and "Beautiful Pain" (2018).

Yook has also established himself as an actor, appearing in various TV series such as "Who Are You: School 2015" (2015), "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" (2016) and "The Golden Spoon" (2022).
