K-pop group Seventeen has headlined the Lollapalooza Berlin music festival, performing 19 songs over 90 minutes to an enthusiastic crowd, the group's agency said Monday.

It marks the first time the 13-member group has headlined a major European music festival since its debut, delivering a set that included the hit songs "Super," "Rock with You," "Left & Right," "Clap" and "Hot."

The performance at Olympiastadion Berlin on Sunday (German time) gave the event the feel of a full concert experience, according to Pledis Entertainment.

The group also performed unit tracks, including "Fighting (feat. Lee Young-ji) by its special sub-unit BSS, adding variety to the show.

Fans responded enthusiastically, singing along to both English and Korean lyrics, chanting the group's name and jumping in unison at the members' direction, the agency said.

The encore performance of "Very Nice" prompted a massive sing-along from the crowd, it added.

The band shared its gratitude with the audience, saying: "We know how long you've been waiting for us. We're happy and excited to finally be here.

"We didn't expect you to sing along to our songs so well. It's truly amazing and touching. We will never forget you."

Seventeen shared the festival spotlight with other international acts, such as Sam Smith, Martin Garrix and The Chainsmokers. The group is set to release its 12th EP next month, followed by a world tour. (Yonhap)
