Girl group TWICE made a successful debut on Amazon Music Live, making their mark as the first K-pop artist to be featured in the live concert series.
The nine-piece act — comprised of Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu — appeared on the show Thursday (local time), delivering a powerful performance.
The group opened the show with its 2020 songs "I Can't Stop Me" and "Go Hard." Then it moved on to "MOONLIGHT SUNRISE," offering positive energy with the Miami-based pop dance song, followed by "CRY FOR ME," which featured the group's vibrant choreography. TWICE further presented its signature lovely vibe with "FANCY," "The Feels" and "MOONLIGHT."
"The excitement in the atmosphere reached the peak as they continued with TWICE's hit tracks showcasing its bright and energetic musical color, including ‘I GOT YOU,' ‘ONE SPARK' and ‘Talk that Talk.' The nine members actively engaged with the audience, responding to the loud cheers filling the venue," the group's agency, JYP Entertainment, said in a press release.
Amazon Music Live is a concert series that streams live after Thursday's National Football League games, which is one of the U.S.' largest professional sports leagues, on Prime Video. The show has invited big-name artists including Ed Sheeran, A$AP Rocky, Lil Wayne, Megan Thee Stallion and Metro Boomin.
The third season, which kicked off on Oct. 17, featured singers Jelly Roll, Big Sean, Halsey, J Balvin and Gunna, with TWICE as its latest performer.
The members also showcased solo and unit group songs, including Jihyo's "Killin' Me Good," Nayeon's "ABCD," Tzuyu's "Run Away" and MISAMO's — the group's first unit consisting of Mina, Sana and Momo — "Identity." The members also gave a glimpse of their upcoming album's title track "Strategy (feat. Megan Thee Stallion)."
The group is gearing up to release the new mini-album "STRATEGY" on Dec. 6, with the title track featuring Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion. It will feature seven tracks, including "Sweetest Obsession," which the group released in October to celebrate its ninth debut anniversary.
The album comes about 10 months after the group's 13th mini-album "With YOU-th" in February, which strengthened the group's global popularity, topping the Billboard 200 chart.
The group's fifth world tour "TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR 'READY TO BE'" featured 51 shows across 27 regions worldwide, holding concerts in major venues like Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium, New York's MetLife Stadium and Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium. It earned the group record-breaking audience numbers, drawing 1.5 million attendees.
