K-pop artists Stray Kids, BTS' Jungkook and Tomorrow X Together (TXT) have been nominated for the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs), one of the three major pop music honors in the United States.

Billboard announced the nominees Monday (U.S. time) on its website, revealing that boy group Stray Kids secured four nominations in three categories: Top Duo/Group, Top Global K-Pop Artist and Top K-Pop Album ("Rock Star" and "Ate.")

Jungkook received five nominations across four categories — Top Song Sales Artist, Top Global K-Pop Artist, Top K-Pop Album ("Golden") and Top Global K-Pop Song ("Standing Next to You" and "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)").

Tomorrow X Together garnered three nods — Top Global K-Pop Artist, Top K-Pop Touring Artist and Top K-Pop Album ("The Name Chapter: Freefall").

Other notable K-pop nominees include BTS' Jimin, who earned nominations for Top Global K-Pop Artist and Top Global K-Pop Song for "Who." Enhypen also received two nominations, Top Global K-Pop Artist and Top K-Pop Touring Artist.

Additional K-pop acts recognized are Seventeen, nominated for Top K-Pop Touring Artist; Ateez, for Top K-Pop Album ("The World Ep. Fin: Will"); ILLIT, for Top Global K-Pop Song ("Magnet"); and Le Sserafim, for Top Global K-Pop Song ("Perfect Night").

The 2024 Billboard Music Awards will air Dec. 12 on the U.S. Fox and Fire TV channels. (Yonhap)
