K-pop boy group GOT7 will release a new album next year, making a full-fledged comeback after three years.

The group's leader, Jay B announced the news during his solo concert, "TAPE : RE LOAD," at KBS Arena in Gangseo District, Seoul, on Saturday, noting that all seven members of the group are gearing up for its new album scheduled for next month.

"I've been given permission from the members to be the one to break it. I've been trying hard to make it happen," he said after performing GOT7 songs as an encore. "GOT7 will reunite to make a comeback in January next year. We're working hard on the concerts, but nothing is decided yet."

This will be the first album in three years since the group released its 12th EP "GOT7" in 2022.

The seven-member act — Mark, Jay B, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom — debuted in 2014 with the mini-album "Got It?," and has released several hit songs, like "Fly," "Never Ever" and "Hard Carry."

After their contract with JYP Entertainment expired in 2021, they signed a new contract with Warner Music Korea as a group the next year while pursuing solo activities.

Jinyoung made his way into acting, starring as the lead in series like "The Devil Judge" (2021), while BamBam made appearances in variety shows.

Jay B released his first solo full-length album, "Archive 1: [Road Runner]," last month, kicking off a concert tour with the Seoul show over the weekend. The singer is set to continue the tour at Impact Arena in Bangkok on Jan. 11 and 12.
