A record-breaking number of Korean companies will take part in CES 2025, showcasing their latest innovations and cutting-edge technologies to a global audience, industry data showed Thursday.

A total of 1,031 Korean companies have registered for this year's CES, the world's largest tech exhibition set to open Tuesday (U.S. time) in Las Vegas, up from 772 last year, according to the data by the Korea Information & Communication Technology Industry Association.

Korea ranks third in the number of participating companies, following the United States with 1,509 firms and China with 1,339. In total, CES 2025 will feature some 4,800 companies from 160 countries.

The participation of Korean companies has grown in recent years, rising from 502 in 2022.

Of the 1,031 Korean participants, 641 are startups, many of which will showcase their innovations in Eureka Park, CES's dedicated space for startups and emerging entrepreneurs. (Yonhap)
