Taeyeon, one of K-pop's most prominent female vocalists and member of Girls' Generation, celebrated a decade as a solo artist with a dazzling spectacle in her concert "The Tense." On a night when fans would typically shower her with gifts, the singer instead turned the tables — delivering a breathtaking performance that felt like a present for them instead.
From Friday to Sunday, the KSPO Dome in Seoul's Olympic Park transformed into a sea of pink light as Taeyeon took the stage. The three-day event was completely sold out, drawing more than 30,000 attendees, her agency, SM Entertainment, said.
The concert marked Taeyeon's return to the solo stage after nearly a year and seven months. Her last performance was in June 2023 at the same venue.
Only six female solo artists in Korean music history — including Taeyeon — have headlined KSPO Dome, a venue widely regarded as every K-pop performer's dream. With a capacity exceeding 10,000, it's a stage reserved for singers of the highest caliber — those with talent, presence and a devoted fan base to fill such an arena.
Taeyeon's fans swarmed Olympic Park hours before the Sunday show, the final night of the concert. Excited concertgoers snapped photos and browsed official merchandise, all while clutching their beloved official pink Girls' Generation light sticks.

At 5 p.m. sharp, the venue's pink glow dimmed to darkness and an eager cheer erupted from the crowd. Emerging from under the stage wearing a glimmering ivory dress and a golden headpiece, Taeyeon's presence was just as commanding as her famous voice.
The singer wasted no time, launching into her self-love anthem "Fabulous." She then seamlessly transitioned into a series of her biggest hits, her soaring vocals cutting through the instrumentals as she delivered performances of her debut solo track, "I," followed by the lead single from her latest album, "Letter to Myself."
After delivering a series of soaring high notes, Taeyeon briefly paused to address the audience, her voice filled with gratitude.
"We're already here on the final day of the concert. I thought I wouldn't be nervous, but I still feel it. Thank you to all the fans who traveled from afar to be here today," she said. "It's already been 10 years since I started my solo career and that is why this concert carries a lot of meaning for me. I hope it becomes a beautiful memory for all of you, too."
Draped in a sparkling white ensemble, Taeyeon continued her performance with angelic renditions of "Blue Eyes," "Make Me Love You" and "Heaven," her voice floating through the venue.

But the serenity didn't last long, as crimson light drenched the stage in a dramatic shift. Taeyeon then pivoted to her more commanding side, delivering fierce performances of "Hot Mess" and "Cold as Hell," clad in a charismatic black outfit.
A performer through and through, Taeyeon balanced vocal precision with dynamic choreography, showcasing the versatility that made her a true K-pop icon.
The production was just as captivating, with waves of changing light stick colors, pulsating lasers and elaborate stage effects — including floating platforms and suspended elements — creating a spectacle so grand that fans could not even dare to blink.
A signature fragrance crafted by Taeyeon herself, a woody scent with some flowery notes, wafted through the venue, adding to the experience by engaging fans' senses beyond sight and sound.

Still, the most potent force of the night remained her voice. With unwavering control, she belted out "INVU," "Melt Away," "To.X" and "What Do I Call You," leaving the audience in awe.
The concert took another turn as Taeyeon reappeared in a shiny varsity jacket, bringing a playful energy with tracks like "Weekend," "Stress" and "Why." Yet, even in these lighter moments, she made sure to stun with her vocal prowess, taking on demanding tracks like "Four Seasons" and "Disaster" with ease.
She performed "Ending Credits" as the evening drew to a close, signaling the inevitable farewell. As the final notes faded, the credits rolled on screen, revealing her deep involvement in every detail — from the concert's title to its poster and even confetti designs, underscoring her dedication.

The night had an extra layer of significance — it also marked the singer's birthday.
During the encore performance of "Curtain Call," fans held up custom banners before breaking into a birthday song to celebrate the singer. Taeyeon was visibly touched as the concert team surprised her with a cake.
"I feel like I've received all the love I could ever get in my life — it almost feels like a marriage proposal. Thank you for always cheering for me at the perfect timing," she expressed, adding that it was the best birthday gift she could have ever asked for.
"Every time I release an album or hold a concert, you all wait for me and completely fill these venues. I never imagined every seat would be occupied through this three-day concert. It's been such an emotional experience."
With Seoul behind her, Taeyeon now takes "The Tense" on the road. The Asia tour continues with stops in Taipei, Manila, Jakarta, Tokyo, Macau, Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong, where more fans will get to experience the magic that only she can deliver.
