Korean singers and fans mourned the sudden passing of Wheesung on Tuesday, remembering the talented artist with heartfelt tributes.
The 43-year-old singer was found dead at his Seoul residence the previous day. Police said an autopsy would be conducted to determine the exact cause of his death.
Rapper Verbal Jint paid tribute by posting a black image on Instagram.
"It was an honor, and thank you, Wheesung, for every moment I had with you. You worked so hard. Rest in peace," he wrote.
Singer Yun Min-soo also shared a video clip from a past music program where he performed alongside Wheesung.
"I will always remember your innocence. Let's meet again someday and sing together," he wrote.
Fans have flooded local music streaming sites and Wheesung's Instagram with messages in remembrance.
His final Instagram post, made five days before his passing, announced an upcoming concert with singer KCM on March 15.
"I've finished my diet. Let's meet on March 15," he had written.
One fan left a heartfelt message: "You were my hero when I was in high school. I never met you, but you felt like an older brother who taught me music. I hope you are happy up there." (Yonhap)
