Camarata Music is gearing up for a performance of Beethoven's "Mass in C Major" and "Piano Concerto No. 1" on Saturday.

It's the first part of the organization's three "Three Bs of German" concerts planned for this year, referring to Beethoven, Brahms and Bach.

The second performance will be held on June 22, spotlighting Brahms' "Liebeslieder (love song) Waltzes." The third will be in December in time to present Bach's "Christmas Oratorio."

This first performance, to be held at Yedarm Church in northeastern Seoul's Seongbuk District, will feature Camarata's 70-member string chorale, orchestra and soloists. The soloists include pianist Andreas Ehret, soprano Emily Bell, mezzo Hea Deok Nam, tenor Ryu Seung-gak and bass-baritone Scott Stout.

"The choir is doing fantastically, and the orchestra sounds amazing," Ryan Goessl, resident conductor and artistic director of Camarata Music, told The Korea Times. "They have been working hard since January and are very excited to do this concert."

Camarata Music is Korea's largest international nonprofit music organization.

"The choir is open to anyone — from the beginning shower-singer, to the seasoned veteran, we want everyone to come and be able to sing. No experience is necessary to join the choir," Goessl said "Come this Saturday, April 27, to hear the choir in action, and then come and join the choir and sing with us beginning May 12."

The show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets cost 25,000 won in advance or 35,000 won at the door.
