The music video for global K-pop sensation BTS' 2017 hit song "DNA" has surpassed 1.6 billion views on YouTube.
The video hit the milestone at about 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, becoming the third from the group to do so after "Dynamite" and "Boy With Luv," according to the group's agency, BigHit Music.
The lead track of "Love Yourself: Her," the band's fifth EP released in September 2017, "DNA" depicts the fresh and passionate love of youth.
BTS delivers a message that "the two of us have been fatefully intertwined from the beginning of time and were one from our DNA" in a refreshing and cheerful manner, harmonizing electro-pop sounds with acoustic guitar, in the song.
Including "DNA," the septet now has a total of 39 music videos that have garnered more than 100 million YouTube views. (Yonhap)
