Ukrainian Ambassador to Korea Dmytro Ponomarenko paid a visit to the Global Education Center of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, Tuesday, to discuss possible post-war cooperation.

During his visit, Ponomarenko held discussions with the company's top officials to explore avenues for collaboration, such as the provision of construction equipment crucial for Ukraine's reconstruction efforts and the training of technicians to ensure the adept operation of the machinery.

The timing of the ambassador's visit holds particular significance, as Ukraine continues to grapple with a war with Russia that has persisted since February 2022.

Ponomarenko observed demonstrations of excavator operation simulations and even took the opportunity to personally experience operating an excavator on a simulator. Additionally, he inspected the hydraulic components and engine maintenance workshop.

Moreover, the ambassador showed keen interest in the training of national representatives who are slated to participate in the 2026 International Skills Olympics in Lyon, France.

Since September 2023, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment has been providing humanitarian aid to war-torn regions of Ukraine. This includes donating essential equipment such as excavators and forklifts.

An official at HD Hyundai Construction Equipment reiterated the company's readiness to collaborate further, saying, "HD Hyundai's specialized education curriculum and expertise will not only aid in Ukraine's reconstruction efforts, but also contribute to its long-term industrial development."
