Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, SK Telecom, KT and other companies are showcasing their innovative AI technologies and related products at the World IT Show as part of efforts to let visitors experience the changes AI is bringing to our daily lives, according to the companies, Wednesday.

Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the World IT Show, or the WIS, is Korea's largest tech show, featuring 446 companies and organizations from 10 countries.

Major companies, including Samsung, LG, SK Telecom, KT, Kia and Kakao, and startups demonstrated their innovative AI-enabled technologies for visitors.

The fair's organizer is also scheduled to hold various conferences where key industry figures discuss the future of AI and what it can do.

Additionally, the ICT ministry presented Korea as a leading country in the AI sector to 36 diplomats from 15 countries, including ambassadors to Korea.

At the WIS, Samsung organized its exhibition hall with the concept of an urban square while allowing visitors to experience Galaxy AI. This AI-powered platform features various functions that enhance users' daily lives.

At the booth, the company offers visitors the opportunity to try the AI features of the Galaxy S24 smartphones, such as real-time translation, Circle to Search and generative editing. The company also introduces Samsung Wallet, a bespoke digital wallet service tailored for the tech-savvy generation, enabling seamless access to prepaid cards, membership details, tickets, and digital gifts.

Visitors can also check out the Galaxy ecosystem, which connects the brand's smartphones, tablets and wearable devices. The location-tracking mobile accessory Galaxy SmartTag2 is also on display. Its AI technology-applied home appliances, such as the Neo QLED 8K TV, Bespoke AI Steam robot vacuum cleaner and wind-free air conditioner, are also displayed.

Samsung is actively releasing home appliances and mobile devices equipped with AI functions.

Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee said at the Milan Design Week held in Milan on Tuesday (local time), "By July, Bixby, equipped with a large language model (LLM), will be released," adding that this evolved AI assistant will be applied to products released this year.
