Samsung Display is set to unveil innovative organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays for information technology (IT) devices and vehicles during this year's CES tech fair, the company said Sunday.
The company will promote a series of its value-added OLED products used for tablets and laptops as well as passenger cars for four days from Tuesday (local time) at the world's largest IT exhibition in Las Vegas.
In particular, the display manufacturer hyped its tech prowess with a plan to unveil its 18.1-inch foldable OLED display for the first time.
When fully extended, the display measures 18.1 inches, but folds down to 13.1 inches, allowing users to carry IT devices comfortably, while still offering an enhanced viewing experience, the company said. Potential clients can also explore the firm's multi-foldable display products, which can be folded more than twice.
Samsung Display will also promote its Slidable Flex Duet concept by demonstrating how an 8.1-inch tablet stretches to 12.4 inches by pulling both sides of the tablet. The Slidable Flex Solo product helps users expand a tablet display to 17.3 inches from 13 inches.
The company also identifies automotive OLED displays as its next major revenue area. At CES 2025, Samsung Display will unveil a range of cutting-edge displays for automobiles, including a bendable center information display that conforms to the shape of dashboards.
To attract more attention from audiences, the company plans to run a special promotional booth called Unleash Your Potential, so visitors can understand and experience key differentiation points of IT devices with OLED displays.
Samsung Display is one of the global front-runners in the OLED display market, selling diverse lineups of monitors used for games, content creation and medical purposes.
"Visitors to our CES booth can experience an evolving landscape of OLED displays and their vivid color realization," a company official said.
